The SCITHub is a purpose-built facility to support comprehensive Smart Building technology innovation, development, and testing. The SCITHub will provide the full range of equipment to evaluate integrated building performance, establishing the data acquisition systems and controls to develop and test novel control strategies for both residential and commercial applications of Smart Buildings. The SCITHub will showcase state-of-the-art low-carbon HVAC technologies (i.e., variable refrigerant and both air and water heat pump systems) integrated with power management, lighting, security, and IT/communication systems - connected on an integrated digital backbone through innovative Integrated Structural Panels, providing low-voltage DC power to devices with Plug-and-Play functionality throughout the facility.
