Missassauga Fire Station #123
BRAMPTON, ONTARIO
The City of Mississauga is currently developing Fire Station #123 as part of its strategic plan to enhance emergency services across the city. Located at The Collegeway and Winston Churchill Boulevard, this fire station is one of six new facilities planned over the next 12 years to improve response times.
Designed with sustainability in mind, the station will achieve net-zero energy status and adhere to Mississauga's Corporate Green Building Standard. Its design incorporates advanced features such as high-performance building materials and systems to reduce environmental impact. This project reflects the city's broader climate action and green infrastructure goals.
The proposed design includes approximately 10,550 sq. ft. of space with a two-storey structure and apparatus bay.
The City of Mississauga has made significant commitments to reducing carbon and energy use as outlined in their Corporate Green Building Standard (CGB). Fire Station #123 presents an opportunity to explore the strategies required to exceed the performance targets (Net Zero Energy) in section 3.1 of the CGB and apply the findings to future developments.
