Michael Povolo brings over 10 years of experience in mechanical engineering, specializing in laboratories, pharmaceutical facilities, and clean room systems design. He has developed an exceptional understanding of designing and controlling pressure- and temperature-critical environments.
Michael has extensive expertise in the mechanical systems design of acute care healthcare facilities, pharmaceutical and research laboratories, animal holding facilities, horticultural facilities, and cosmetic manufacturing and compounding facilities.
His active involvement throughout the design conception, construction, and commissioning phases of both design-build and traditional stip-sum projects has provided him with valuable practical and on-site experience. This hands-on approach has enabled Michael to adopt a pragmatic design philosophy, balancing system performance, resiliency, energy efficiency, maintainability, and constructability.
In addition to greenfield projects, Michael has contributed to numerous small- to medium-scale renovation projects for renowned organizations, including the University of Toronto, SickKids Hospital, Scarborough Health Network (SHN), University Health Network (UHN), Sanofi Pasteur, and DECIEM.
