Centre for Addiction and Mental Health

TORONTO, ON

The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) is Canada's largest mental health and addiction teaching hospital and a world-leading research centre. CAMH combines clinical care, research, education, policy development and health promotion to help transform the lives of people affected by mental illness and addiction. Quasar team members have had continuous involvement at the CAMH site since 2008, beginning with key team member involvement in the Project Delivery for CAMH Phase 1B, and then again with the PDC role for the Phase 1C Development; with both projects delivered in a P3 model through Infrastructure Ontario.

Quasar team members also were involved in the Master Plan for the Phase 1D Forensic Building, and currently, Quasar is providing full construction documents and CA for the Phase 1D Early Works which allows for decanting of the Childcare, Provincial Psychiatric Advocacy Office (PPAO) and the CAMH-sponsored Cafeteria programs out of the existing Community Centre Building which will be demolished as part of the first sub-phase of the Phase 1D new building. In addition, Quasar has successfully delivered several smaller projects in the traditional lump sum delivery model, including the 250 College Roof Replacement, NPR Seclusion Room Renovation, and Lab Exhaust upgrades.
