Metrolinx, Ontario Line Subway Station Design Standards

Quasar Consulting Group was engaged to contribute to the development of the new Subway Design Standards for Metrolinx. The standards are meant to accompany future Ontario subway line Project Agreements to ensure visual consistency throughout future subway lines. The standards are an amalgamation of Metrolinx and TTC standards, with new innovations to suit the latest Metrolinx design goals. Quasar evaluated current TTC and Metrolinx Standards, and prepared design solutions to meet client requirements, applicable codes, and best practices. The design was tailored towards improving the customer experience and ridership, while incorporating energy efficient and sustainable design principles.
