Energy Performance: The Impacts of the City of Ottawa - High Performance Development Standard

 

Responding to climate change and public health are priorities within Ottawa’s Official Plan. Over the last two decades, many municipalities across Ontario have instituted "green development standards'', an effective tool in the industry to advance sustainability and resiliency in new developments.

Craig Ogden, Quasar's Vice President of the Ottawa office, in partnership with Mercedes Byers, and Oleksandra Onisko of Pratus Group, have been providing information sessions to industry partners across the city on the coming implementation of the City of Ottawa’s High Performance Development Standard, and its impacts to sustainable and resilient building design, particularly with regards to energy performance.
