Quasar is providing mechanical, electrical, and energy modelling services for the transformation of De La Salle College's Oaklands arena into a state-of-the-art student centre, part of the College's New Leaf campaign.
The existing 26,600 sq. ft. ice hockey arena is being reimagined as a dynamic hub for student life. The revitalized space will include a modern gymnasium, updated student change rooms, and versatile lecture halls, alongside a spacious student commons, a fully-equipped workout room, an exercise studio, and a school store. Students will also gain a new cafe, an art studio, and a black box drama theatre, a comprehensive facility built to support both academic and extracurricular life.
Our team is delivering high-performance HVAC, LED lighting, plumbing, and fire-protection systems integrated via a Building Automation system. Our focus on feasibility studies and energy model performance targets, schematic and detailed design, construction‑document preparation and full contract administration ensures optimal indoor environmental quality, energy efficiency and low‑carbon operation throughout the facility.
