The Oaklands Student Centre transforms the existing 26,600 sq.ft. arena into a state-of-the-art student hub with a gymnasium, updated change rooms, lecture halls, student commons, fitness and exercise studios, a school store, café, art studio and black box theatre. Quasar Consulting Group provided Mechanical, electrical, and ICAT engineering, as well as energy modelling, to deliver high-performance HVAC, LED lighting, plumbing, and fire-protection systems integrated via a Building Automation system. Quasars focus on feasibility studies and energy‑model performance targets, schematic and detailed design, construction‑document preparation and full contract administration ensures optimal indoor environmental quality, energy efficiency and low‑carbon operation throughout the facility.
