Brampton Fire Station #201
BRAMPTON, ONTARIO
The existing Fire Station #201 was considered functionally obsolete, prompting the construction of a new state-of-the-art Facility located at 25 Rutherford Road South. This 11,270 sq. ft., 1-Storey Building was designed with modern advancements in mind. The construction aimed to meet Net Zero and Passive House Standards while adhering to LEED Gold criteria, targeting an average energy consumption of less than 15 kWh/ft².
The Project features four fire Apparatus Bays equipped with rear vehicle entry and front exit capabilities, ensuring efficient operations. Additional features include a Hose Tower, SCBA Compressor Room, Tool Room, and dedicated Storage Areas for Bunker Gear and Laundry. The Design also accommodates a Clean Room, General Office Space, and individual Offices for the District Chief, Platoon Chief, and Captain. Auxiliary Spaces include Washrooms, a Dormitory, Kitchen/Day Room, Locker Room, Gym/Fitness Area, and individual Shower Rooms, including a specialized Decontamination Washroom.
Further enhancing operational efficiency, the new Fire Station includes a Medical Storage Room, Custodial Room, IT Room, Electrical Room, Mechanical Room, and outdoor Storage Areas for necessary equipment. The Building also incorporates essential ancillary Support and Storage Spaces, Entry Vestibules, and Circulation Areas, ensuring a well-organized and functional environment.
