Aleksandar Kostic
Sector Lead
Aleksandar has over eight years of expertise in mechanical engineering, with a diverse range of experience across various sectors. Through his progressively senior roles in the design of mechanical systems for hospitals, universities, and transit facilities, Aleksandar has gained valuable experience spanning the conceptual design phase through to construction documentation, in both traditional and AFP project delivery models. His expertise includes HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, high-pressure steam, and building automation systems design.
In 2017, Aleksandar served as the Mechanical Project Manager for the Kipling Bus Terminal, a major transportation project in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) involving numerous stakeholders, including Metrolinx, the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC), MiWay, Hydro One Networks Inc. (HONI), and Canadian Pacific (CP) Rail. The project included the construction of a new bus terminal connecting the TTC’s Kipling Station and GO Transit’s Express Rail Station. This design-build initiative required complex multi-discipline coordination for both new construction and demolition.
Beyond his mechanical engineering expertise, Aleksandar is highly skilled in BIM and Revit. He plays a key role in advancing 3D modeling practices at Quasar and is a strong advocate for leveraging cutting-edge technology to streamline coordination processes and deliver optimal designs for clients.
