Vinuk Fernando is a highly qualified professional mechanical engineer and construction expert with 15 years of industry experience. He possesses broad expertise in all aspects of mechanical engineering and design, as well as project planning, management, and execution during construction stages. A highly driven and motivated individual, Vinuk is also a passionate and effective leader.
Vinuk previously served as a Mechanical Team Lead on one of Canada’s first and largest Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) initiatives. His experience with IPD has equipped him with a deep understanding of the value of focused workshops and smaller breakout sessions with design and construction teams. A trusted project manager and team leader, Vinuk has overseen the design and construction of complex projects, including both new construction and addition/renovation work.
Before joining Quasar, Vinuk spent his career as a mechanical engineer at a large national firm, where he led the mechanical design and construction administration for a variety of design-build institutional, residential, and commercial projects. Most recently, he worked for Canada’s largest mechanical contracting firm as a Mechanical Design Project Manager, focusing on integrating engineering design with construction management to optimize project outcomes.
