Quasar was engaged TO provide comprehensive Mechanical, Electrical, and Information Communication and Automation Technology (M/E/ICAT) consulting engineering services for the CARS Long-Term Care facility located in Clarence Creek, Ontario. The project involves the construction of a new single-storey, 128-bed long-term care facility.
Quasar's scope of work includes a peer review of existing design documents incorporating current best practices and updated codes, including the Fixing LTC Act and CSA Z8004, followed by the preparation of full construction documents. Designed systems include HVAC, plumbing, drainage, fire protection, normal and emergency power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, communications, security, access control, and wireless infrastructure. Quasar is providing services from concept through to post-construction, including contract administration, site reviews, and coordination with the commissioning agent, ensuring seamless delivery of a modern, code-compliant long-term care environment.
