Nova Scotia Health Services QEII Halifax Infirmary PSOS Peer Review

Peer review and design of supporting early works for the Design-Build-Finance-Maintain (DBFM) Project Specific Output Specification (PSOS) documents delivered through the Nova Scotia Department of Transportation and Infrastructure and Nova Scotia Health Authority.
The redevelopment of the QEII Health Sciences Centre (the “QEII New Generation Project”) is a once-in-ageneration opportunity to rethink and rebuild the way the province of Nova Scotia delivers health care. It is a large, phased, multi-year project that is laying out how the health care needs of Nova Scotians will be met for the next 50 years. It will also allow services to be moved out of the aging Centennial, Victoria and Dickson buildings on the Victoria General (VG) site of the QEII, to prepare for their eventual closure.
This Project consists of a new 11 level, 650,000 sq. ft. Patient Tower, with three levels of below grade parking, a 12 level 1.1M sq. ft. Ambulatory Care/ Cancer Care Building with three levels of below grade parking, a 3 level Central Utility Plant serving the new buildings and an 8 level, above-grade Parkade for 1,000 cars and a single level below grade central loading dock.
