Bell AI Fabric - Sovereign AI Data Centres
CANADA WIDE
Quasar is proud to be a key partner in Bell’s AI Fabric initiative, delivering Canada’s next generation of sovereign AI infrastructure.
Kamloops, BC (5MW) (October 2025): Completed in partnership with Groq, this flagship facility introduces liquid-cooled AI data centre design to support high-performance computing workloads. As a design-build project, Quasar provided full mechanical and electrical engineering and commissioning services to bring Bell’s first AI Fabric site online with resilience, scalability, and energy efficiency.
Merritt, BC (5MW, scalable to 20MW) (May 2025 -Present): The Merritt site represents the second phase of Bell’s AI Fabric rollout. The initial 5MW build for Groq is being delivered with future-ready infrastructure designed for seamless scalability up to 20MW. Quasar is once again providing end-to-end design-build services, applying innovative strategies in liquid cooling to ensure performance at scale.
Thompson Rivers University (TRU) (20MW) (August 2025-Present): Quasar is delivering a 20MW design-build AI facility at Thompson Rivers University. The project integrates liquid cooling and high-density infrastructure to support advanced AI training and inference workloads.
A defining feature of this campus facility is its connection to TRU’s Low-Carbon District Energy System (LCDES), where waste heat from the data centre is reused to reduce campus greenhouse gas emissions. Built with scalability and sustainability in mind, the TRU AI Data Centre is designed to advance Canadian digital sovereignty while directly supporting TRU’s research, academic, and community programs.
Services Provided: Design-Build, Project Management, Mechanical & Electrical Engineering, Commissioning, Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) Modeling
