Quasar provides ongoing engineering services across Canada, supporting upgrades, expansions, and commissioning for some of the country’s most critical colocation facilities. Our role spans design-build integration, power and cooling upgrades, and critical event cutovers, ensuring consistent, high-availability infrastructure across multiple campuses.
Equinix CL3 – Calgary, AB (2024): Quasar provided mechanical and electrical design services for capacity upgrades at Equinix’s CL3 facility, ensuring redundant power distribution and cooling resiliency to support increased tenant demand in Alberta’s largest carrier hotel.
Equinix MT1 – Montreal, QC (2023): At MT1, Quasar led critical space expansions and power distribution upgrades, integrating new UPS systems and enhanced cooling to align with Equinix’s global standards while meeting local Canadian code compliance.
Equinix MT2 – Montreal, QC (2024): For MT2, Quasar delivered electrical infrastructure modernization, supporting expansions with new switchgear, standby generation integration, and cooling plant optimization, all under live facility conditions.
Equinix OT1 – Ottawa, ON (2025): Quasar supported infrastructure upgrades at OT1, implementing mechanical and electrical enhancements to strengthen uptime for enterprise and government clients relying on secure colocation in the nation’s capital.
Equinix TR5 – Toronto, ON (2025): At TR5, one of Canada’s flagship Equinix sites, Quasar executed major upgrades and critical cutovers in an active environment, enabling growth in high-density colocation capacity with zero downtime.
