Pratus Group Achieves Formal Certification for Integrated Systems Testing

UL Solutions Confirms Pratus’ Certificate Service to Perform Fire Protection and Life Safety Systems in Accordance with CAN/ULC-S1001

Pratus Group has been formally certified by UL Solutions under the Integrated Testing of Fire Protection and Life Safety Systems category (UL Product iQ: HNIB7). This certification confirms that Pratus is qualified to perform integrated systems testing in accordance with CAN/ULC-S1001, a critical requirement for complex buildings where multiple life safety systems must operate together as intended.

What is UL / ULC Integrated Systems Testing Certification?

Integrated Systems Testing verifies that individual fire protection and life safety systems not only function independently but also operate correctly together during an emergency. The CAN/ULC-S1001 standard governs this process in Canada and is increasingly required by authorities having jurisdiction, insurers, and owners on large or complex projects.

What This Means for Clients and Project Teams

Pratus Group can:

  • Perform integrated testing of fire protection and life safety systems in accordance with CAN/ULC-S1001

  • Coordinate and verify system interactions across fire alarm, mechanical, electrical, and life safety systems

  • Provide third-party, independent confirmation of integrated testing compliance

  • Support AHJ acceptance, occupancy approvals, and risk mitigation for complex buildings

How This Fits Pratus’ Broader Services

This certification complements our existing expertise in commissioning, sustainability consulting, and regulatory compliance, allowing us to support project teams from design through occupancy with a higher level of technical assurance
