The proposed development consists of a 10-storey infill apartment building with at-grade parking and 154 residential units, totaling approximately 113,955 sq. ft. of GFA. The scope includes preliminary mechanical and electrical design from OPA/ZBA submission to construction completion.
An initial assessment of the project against ESG criteria and objectives established by Starlight and its investor partners was conducted. The design approach was developed to integrate desired sustainability features aligned with the City of Mississauga’s Green Development Standard Tier 1, and multiple energy models were developed including a low-carbon / net-zero ready option.
A design brief was developed that evaluated a traditional HVAC system using fossil fuels, and multiple low-carbon scenario as described by the energy model utilizing air-source heat pumps and geothermal systems.
