The Princess Lands - Block 1 & 2
VAUGHAN, ONTARIO
The Princess Lands Development is located at 2800 Highway 7 in Vaughan, ON. The first phase consists of two (2) High-Rise Residential Condominiums – Block 01 also known as West Block & Block 02 also known as Mid-Block. Block 01 is a 280,900 sq. ft., 34-Storey High-Rise Building consisting of 363-Suites. Block 02 is a 279,560 sq. ft., 34-Storey High-Rise Building with 367-Suites.
The project also consisted of a 4-level parking lot that spans the footprint throughout the 3 buildings but in this case only area under Block 1 and Block 2 is considered.
This reference project is particularly relevant from the perspective of the three towers having phased construction with the shard parking garage and two towers as the first phase and the third tower as the second phase.
This project was particularly challenging as there was also an existing transformer that needed to be located prior to the start of new construction. The existing transformer not only served the site of the new construction but also served other buildings in the surrounding area which had a large impact on the preliminary construction and enabling works.
