Sanofi - B94 Animal Cage Washer Replacement
NORTH YORK, ON, CA
This project involved the replacement of two aging animal cage washers within the vivarium facility. Existing emergency power distribution, high-pressure steam/condensate services, non-potable domestic water and drainage services, exhaust air services, and chemical treatment dosing services were locally removed and reworked to meet the requirements of the new washer equipment. The construction was carried out in a live laboratory area during regular working hours. Consequently, a review and modification of the existing washing area’s airflow pressurization control through the building automation system (BAS) were implemented to ensure no changes to space pressurization.
