Waterloo Airport Temporary Terminal Expansion

Quasar provided comprehensive mechanical and electrical engineering services for the Temporary Airport Building Expansion project, which encompasses a range of critical infrastructure enhancements.  

This project includes the development of an expanded hold room, a new domestic baggage claim building, and an outbound baggage area. Additionally, significant renovations were required for the existing terminal building, alongside a generator upgrade and a thorough review of existing utilities to design and implement new systems for the expansion.  

The total addition comprises approximately 35,500 square feet of new space, aiming to enhance the airport’s operational efficiency and passenger experience. Quasar’s engineering team was tasked with ensuring the seamless integration of these new facilities with the current infrastructure, focusing on robust and innovative mechanical solutions that adhere to the highest standards of safety and functionality.
