Kirkland & District Hospital

KIRKLAND LAKE, ON

Quasar Consulting Group provided mechanical, electrical, and ICAT engineering services at Kirkland and District Hospital to support the replacement of a failed steam boiler and restore safe, reliable facility operation. The work involved the design of steam, fuel, and exhaust piping modifications, along with the associated electrical connections required for the new boiler installation.

In addition to the boiler replacement, Quasar performed semi-annual ventilation verification services throughout the hospital. This testing included room-by-room measurement of supply, return, and exhaust airflow, as well as verification of space temperature, relative humidity, and carbon dioxide levels. Air handling unit operating set points were documented, and ambient conditions at the time of testing were recorded to support ongoing operational compliance and indoor environmental quality.
