Anduhyaun Women's Shelter

Anduhyaun Women's Shelter is a proposed 4,000 sq.ft. three-storey crisis care facility for Indigenous women located in Toronto, Ontario.
The Design included Indigenous considerations, such as a smudging area and resident garden. The building includes dwelling spaces, shared amenities and spaces, as well as administrative offices, and is approximately 1,108 m2 in size.
The project is pursuing Toronto Green Standard v3.0 Tier 2 compliance with a high-performance building design featuring a variable refrigerant flow system and an efficient building envelope. Additionally, pursuing voluntary municipal green standard certification, CMHC Co-investment funding and incorporating Passive House principles into the design including highly insulated wood-frame walls, triple glazing in fiberglass frames, central Energy Recovery Ventilation and building infiltration testing.
