Sanofi - B94 & B96 Animal Holding Space Temperature Modifications

NORTH YORK, ON, CA

Sanofi Pasteur's vivarium animal holding and procedure spaces in Buildings 94 and 96 are undergoing an assessment to ensure compliance with current Canadian Council on Animal Care (CCAC) requirements. As part of the project scope, a detailed mechanical audit of the central HVAC systems supporting environmental space temperature control, pressurization, and relative humidity for the vivarium spaces was conducted. This audit included the evaluation of the vivarium's air handling supply and exhaust systems, heating and distribution systems, and building automation system controls.

Challenges during the audit included conducting on-site investigations and system performance testing within a live vivarium, as well as the qualification, validation, and commissioning of the recommended system modifications.
